CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

At St. Michael's, we understand Christian Education to be a life-long pilgrimage of growing in faith and knowledge.

The Education Committee coordinates a variety of programs for adults at 9:15  (between the 8:00 and the 10:30 services).  Books, films, discussion, and crafts are used to enhance our understanding of God's word.  Two weekly Bible studies are held.

Children, ages 4-12, are invited to Sunday school beginning at 10:15 each Sunday.  Godly Play, study of the Liturgy, crafts, snacks and role playing make it a fun introduction to the church.

Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to a monthly Bible study and lunch on the second Sunday of each month following the 10:30 service.  Real life issues are connected to Scripture and there's time also for service work and awesome trips and outings.

  ADULT EDUCATION
Adult Education is 9:15–10:00 AM

Are you ready to grow, to learn, and to make friends? The Adult Christian Education classes not only provide opportunities to learn about God and his word, but provide the environment where people can make friends and build meaningful relationships. God works through people! And there is no better way to “connect” with people than by investing in a small group dedicated to spiritual growth.

Come and join us Sunday
mornings at
9:15 for
coffee and discussion.

DUCATION FOR MINISTRY

Education for Ministry (EfM)is an education by extension program of the Episcopal Seminary or the University of the South.  The course covers the Bible, Church history, theology, and related topics.  The seminar time is spent in worship, discussion of the readings, and in working together on a theological reflection.

The goal of EfM is to help lay people be better prepared to carry out their baptismal ministries in the world.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH EDUCATION

The young children also use the new Godly Play curriculum which focuses on stories from the Old Testament.

But Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children."

Matthew 19:14
