Ministries & Vestry

Every parish church has a body of lay persons called the vestry,
elected by the congregation to be its governing board. 
Each vestry member serves as a liaison to a parish committee.  

Senior Warden
Gary Sipkovsky 


The duties of the Senior Warden include leadership of the vestry, and support of the rector in his duties as the spiritual leader of the congregation.

Worship
Magnus Campbell



The purpose of the Worship Committee is to advise the Rector in planning, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of our regular and special worship services.  The specific activities of the committee include planning and organizing regular and special worship services; coordinating worship ministries; serving as eyes and ears for congregational response to worship; discussing the theology and rationale for various practices; and considering suggestions from parishioners.

Education and Youth

The Education and Youth Committee supports the Director of Christian Education in planning and implementing educational opportunities for all ages.  Committee activities include planning curricula for children and adults, and encouraging adults to both actively engage in planning and study throughout the Church year.
            
Treasurer

The treasurer documents parishioners'  pledges, and provides quarterly donation statements.  He manages all income for the church including weekly donations, fundraisers, gifts and any other sources.
Newcomers/Parish Life

 Newcomer/Parish Life committee fosters an environment in which members of the congregation can enjoy activities that encourage spirituality and fellowship.  The committee supports members of the congregation in planning, organizing, and participating in a whole variety of activities, including Women’s Circle, Monthly Potlucks, Sunday Coffee Hour, Game Nights, Secret Pals, the annual Lugnuts game, and other fun activities.

Stewardship

The purpose of the Stewardship Committee is to recognize all that we have been given, and to lead the congregation to be more mindful of our use of our time, talents and treasures.  Monthly meetings are held to plan activities, liturgy, and discussions about how we use our resources.   


Junior Warden/Property
Steve Smith


The junior warden is the liaison to the Building and Grounds Committee.  He coordinates the work necessary to maintain the grounds, the church buildings and the columbarium garden.

Pastoral Care

  The Pastoral Care Committee reaches out to fellow parishioners in time of need.  The Pastoral Care Committee meets the second Sunday of the month at 9 a.m.  Committee activities include sending get-well cards and birthday cards, making phone calls, extending pastoral care concern to congregational members via e-mail, and making home visits.

Outreach

The purpose of the Outreach Committee is to help God's people, in our community and in our world, in as many ways as we can so that their burdens may be eased, they may be nourished, and Christ may be known.


Sherie Walquist
Clerk to the Vestry



The clerk attends all of the
vestry meetings and the annual parish meeting.  The clerk records the minutes of these meetings.  She submits approved minutes for publication in the Shield.

Bookkeeper
Nancy Case

The bookkeeper records expenses and revenues and reports to the vestry on the state of the budget.  She also ensures that the church's bills are paid.
