St. Michael’s Episcopal Church

Our mission is to nourish God's people, that Christ may be known.

We are members of the Worldwide Anglican Communion, of the Episcopal Church in America, and of the Diocese of Michigan.

Worship

The service in the Episcopal Church is called the Holy Eucharist.  The Holy Eucharist was instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ at the Last Supper as a memorial of the sacrifice which He was about to make on the cross, and as a regular means through which we ourselves become sharers in that sacrifice and participate in its benefits.

People of any faith tradition are welcome to worship in the Episcopal Church.  All baptized Christians are welcome to receive the Holy Eucharist.

Church services are on Sundays at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM, and on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM.

This is a view from the sanctuary of the inside of the church.  You should come for a visit so you can see the stained glass windows!

Pets are part of our church family as well!  Above is the Annual Blessing of the Animals in front of the Church.

Other worship services include:
  • A monthly Holy Eucharist at Great Lakes Assisted Living
  • Holy Week services (the week before Easter)
  • Outdoor service at Camp Chickagami
  • House blessings
  • Funerals
  • Weddings
  • Baptisms
  • Thanksgiving and Christmas

We have a coffee hour after the Sunday 10:30 service, which is an informal gathering to catch up with friends, look at the latest baby/vacation/grandkid photos, and have a snack.  We would love to have you with us!

These are the books that you'll find in the pew.  We use one or more of these during the worship service.  The ushers give you a list as you walk in that tells you what will be used during that service.  Don't worry about which books to use when-relax and enjoy!  If you request help, someone will gladly sit with you and guide you through the service!
